Meet Our Collaborators: Morgan Saba

The Pivot Six team is made of up digital creatives living and working from all corners of the globe. Over the years, we've mastered the art of running a thriving, fully remote agency and we wanted to introduce you to a few of our key creative collaborators who contribute to our success.

Morgan Saba’s education is as well-rounded as a globe — which, given her love for travel, is fitting. She holds a degree in psychology from the University of Calgary and studied law at the University of New South Wales. She wasn’t feeling the love with law school, though, and pivoted to chart another path.

She decided to enroll in the public relations program at Simon Fraser University, and after graduating has continued to her education (because, Always Be Learning, right??) with a course in Digital Analytics from NYU, as well as courses in SEO, Google Analytics and more.

Raised in Dubai, Morgan now lives in British Columbia, but you can often find her visiting the U.S., Europe and Central America. Morgan’s writing ability showcases her talent for and understanding of content creation, while her ever-broadening experiences chronicled via her personal project @TheGirlWandering will definitely trigger some wanderlust (you’ve been warned!)

Your source of motivation:

I see all of these people achieving great things and I think, why not? Why not enjoy the world to the max and do, see and accomplish as much as you can? That’s what it’s here for. And not everyone gets the opportunity to pursue an education and a job or travel so it would be a shame to take that for granted.

Your purpose on this planet:

I’d like to think that it’s to make a difference, even if it’s a small one.

Your greatest achievement or proudest moment:

Visiting 38 countries has probably been my greatest achievement so far.

What are you listening to, reading, and watching right now?

Right now I’m listening to Lorde’s newest album, MELODRAMA, on repeat, reading Dan Brown’s Origin, and watching Peaky Blinders (the best show!)

The advice you wish you received when you were young:

“You can do anything you put your mind to!”

Also, I wish someone had told me that’s it’s okay if not everyone likes you.

What was your dream job as a child?

I wanted to be a ‘vegetarian’ (that’s what I called a veterinarian). It sort of came true -- I am a vegetarian now!

The three people you’re dying to invite over for a dinner party?

Definitely Oprah - she’s the closest thing we have to the queen of the world! Also, I would choose Richard Branson because I’ve always found his drive and ideas fascinating. Finally, I would invite the Dalai Lama for his spiritual insights.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Tough one. I think happiness is closely linked to freedom. So having the freedom to run away to Thailand and be a beach bum for 8 months and then having the freedom to change your mind and move to New York to pursue a career in Broadway is my idea of happiness.

What is your greatest fear or regret?

I’d say the greatest regret I have is not believing that I could do whatever I wanted to do from a young age. I felt that I needed to do what other people wanted me to do instead.

How do you usually spend your days (and evenings)?

I’ll be honest -- I sleep in! So my days often don’t start until 11am. I’ll start slow with a light breakfast, casual reading, yoga, etc. I try and do something physical every day and I’ve gotten really into bouldering, so that will be next. Then I’ll head out to do chores (any excuse to get out of the house). After this is done, I’ll either do work or study for several hours. I’ll tone down my evening with a show and a hot bath before bed (around 1am).

Favourite part of what you do for a living?

I love that I have the opportunity to work remotely and travel. I also love that I get to write because that’s something I find very calming.

Why do you like collaborating with Pivot Six?

I could honestly not choose a better group of people to be working with. Everyone is so wonderful and supportive at Pivot Six!
